A huge thank you to Anna Jensen for a very interesting and interactive workshop for our January training event. She shared her vast knowledge on How To Get More From Your Business.
Its wonderful that our members are so willing to share their advice and skills. If you are a member and would like to hold a workshop please do get in touch. It is a great opportunity to raise your profile and get used to public speaking and presenting.
This is now the second time Anna has presented for us and shared her valuable insights. Thank you Anna!
Our training events are free to members - let us know if you'd like to become a member of EBC so that you can enjoy the many events we have planned for the future.

Laughter, positive energy and lots of inspiration were shared with us by ASB President Lyndsey Philips at our delightful supper on 22 January at The Refinery, for a very Scottish night accompanied with (too much!) exquisite food.
Everyone wore a wee bit of tartan and ensured a wonderful evening of building connections.
We were even provided with a beautiful performance by our very own Diane Roe, EBC Treasurer, who closed our supper by reciting the poem "The Contentment" by WD Cocker.
Check out our Facebook page to see her video.
Thanks for joining us!
This was a members only event. If you'd like to attend any of our future events please get in touch to become a member.
As part of EBC's social responsibility we are always looking for good causes to support.
It was an absolute pleasure for our president, Kate Bell to represent EBC and meet with Maria Mackenzie, Fundraiser and Noe Mendelle, Director (pictured) of the Scottish Documentary Institute in January and support them with the 50|50+ Women Direct Campaign!
The cheque was handed over and the picture taken at the Edinburgh College of Art at the University of Edinburgh.
Maria became a member of EBC last year. She is always ready to promote her organisation and invite us to their events to find out more about what they do to support female documentary makers in Scotland.

On the 5 November we had a fantastic Lunch and Learn Workshop with Steve Ponton, LinkedIn trainer, at the Institute of Directors on Charlotte Square.
Steve explained what we need to know about LinkedIn and how we can make it work for us! It was an extremely interactive session where we all worked on our profiles there and then.
Lots of tips!! Lovely lunch too.
Get those profiles done or updated now everyone!!
Training events are free to members. Please get in touch if you'd like to become a member and find out how you can attend more events like this.
Breakfast - the most important meal of the day! And why not network over it too and bring even more value!
In September we had a fabulous breakfast networking event in association with Social Bite at their restaurant Vesta on Queensferry St, Edinburgh.
A huge thank you to Jane Bruce Deputy CEO of Social Bite for giving us some background into what they do for the homeless community.
It was an inspiring and thought provoking start to the day.
Thank you to all who attended! Hope you enjoyed your bacon rolls!
We were thrilled to be a finalist in the Best Affiliated Group of the Year Category at the Association of Scottish Business Women ASB National Business Awards 2019.
This is for the Members because you are what makes the Club!
Huge thanks to everyone for a wonderful evening and recognition of Scottish Women in Business! #UnstoppableWomen
The awards dinner was an amazing evening. So inspiring to see and hear the achievements of all the Women in Business. You are all wonderful and give us great encouragement in following our dreams. Thank you!
Onwards and upwards - we're going for the win next year!
Here's our President Kate Bell with our award certificate.
Our president Kate Bell had the pleasure (you can see it in her smile!) of meeting with Caitlin and Sarah at The Teapot Trust in September and presenting them with a donation from EBC. We were so happy to be able to make this donation to such a worthy cause.
This amazing Charity provides professional art therapy and creative interventions to chronically ill children in hospitals.
Thanks to our members we are able to support charities in and around Edinburgh.
July saw our members' lunch at the enchanting Crowne Plaza Terrace Restaurant, on Royal Terrace. June Walker from the Scottish Chambers of Commerce joined us to share the fantastic mentoring opportunities offered by the "Future Female Business Leaders" programme.
A lot of engaging business conversations along with a delightful meal!
We had a great 3 course meal, coffee and exchange of ideas and business challenges around the table.
June gave us some valuable insights into the mentoring programme of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce and as well as helping to find a mentor a few of our members even offered to be a mentor....we're all about the exchange of values here at EBC.
June also helped us come to the conclusion that we are all mentors and mentees without even realising sometimes! And that is very much in line with the ethos of EBC...to get inspired, get involved and get connected.
We also received some lovely goody bags from Crowne Plaza and had a tour of their fabulous hotel....did you you know you can see the Firth of Forth from their windows?!
Let us know if you'd like to become a member and join us for more fantastic events!
The end of June saw one of our regular training events for members only.
We certainly heard how investing in our health is our biggest investment and how we can start making some changes now!
A huge thanks to Dr Alanna Jarrott and her assistant Jenny from Optimal Health Chiropractic for their very interesting and thought provoking presentation.
We take our cars in for checks and MOTs but do we think about that for our bodies, health and well-being? Definitely worth thinking about!
Thank you to all who attended
We will all be sitting better now and keeping our iPhones and iPads at eye-level!
Please note our training events are for members only. If you'd like any more information on how to become a member please send us a message or ask any of our committee - we're here to help YOU.
