How to Empty your Stress Bucket’

Gin Lalli will talk about the science behind how the brain functions during anxiety, stress and depression. An accumulation of negative thoughts over time can mean that we feel overwhelmed and out of control. Understanding the biological process that causes this enables us to manage these symptoms and feel better both mentally and physically.

By using examples and metaphors, Gin gives you an accurate, straightforward explanation of brain function and how, by improving just one underestimated area of your life, you can‘empty your stress bucket’.

As a bonus for Edinburgh Businesswomen’s Club, Gin will extend her talk into a workshop style practical session, taking you through a basic construct of what Solution Focused work involves. You will be able to work on any individual goals you would like to set for yourself. There will be no pressure to share any personal thoughts if you don’t want to, Gin’s process allows your mind to work on whatever issues you would like to without having to voice them. We will finish with a full relaxation session and a copy of Gin’s mindfulness recording will be sent to all attendees.

We strongly recommend booking for this training session as Gin does not offer this workshop style format elsewhere, but as a member of EBC herself, she feels she would like to give this extra value to us. And so we are particularly pleased to offer this as our first training session of the year.

Gin began her career as an Optometrist and increasingly found that anxiety, stress and depression were having a huge impact on the health and well-being of her patients.  Gin has always been fascinated by how the brain works; why can some people cope with difficult circumstances and others find it more challenging? In order to investigate and understand brain function, Gin began a journey to study neuroscience and psychology, which ultimately led to her becoming a qualified Solution Focused Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist.

Gin helps people to regain control of their lives by explaining the science behind how the brain functions and by employing the latest evidence based techniques of positive psychology and mindfulness.

By constructing personalised programmes Gin aims to create change quickly, without analysing the past and instead focusing on solutions going forward. Gin helps people with trauma, phobias, chronic pain, stress, anxiety and depression. She is always excited to see the benefit to her clients, empowering them to be back in the driving seat
